Apple iPhone 6S pre-orders sell out in Samsung’s home market
There might be some trouble brewing for Samsung and its products as iPhone seem to be taking over everywhere, even in Samsung’s own home base. The newest iPhone devices to grace the markets – the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus respectively – were just recently introduced into the South Korean markers and these devices have defied all other set expectations (which were high expectations by the way) by selling out on pre-order faster than anyone had ever thought.
Ahead of the device’s original launch that has been stated for later this month (October 23rd to be precise), it has been reported that the available iPhones for pre-order are now totally exhausted.
Reporting from different firms where this claim is true, KT Corp had initially set a goal for themselves to get their 50,000 units out before the first 30 minutes was over. It then came as a nice shock and surprise to them when within the first minute of pre-order going live, 10,000 units of the device was already gone. After 10 minutes, KT Corp could take no more pre-orders. It was also reported that the Rose Gold was highly contested for by the customers that were able to successfully pre-order.
SK Telecom also experienced such and could take no more after just 30 minutes. The recent popularity gained by iPhone all around town has caused price slashes from LG and Samsung in a bid to make customers look their way.
