Apple iPhone 6s preorders: Rose Gold takes the lead
Newcomer is the most popular iPhone 6s color flavor in terms of preorders
The Apple iPhone 6s will hit the shelves proper on Friday but just before then, we’d like to tell you that the Rose Gold model of the smartphone is currently leading the preorder numbers.
High profile KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo told Apple Insider that the Rose Gold color flavor of the 2015 Apple flagship smartphones (iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus) is favored by 30 to 40 percent of the preorder headcount. Kuo explained that he got the estimates after speaking to several Apple distributors.
Speaking on sales numbers, the analyst said he expects Apple to hit anywhere between 10 to 13 million iPhone 6s sales this weekend, saying that high demand and increased production will help the new iPhone models attain great heights.
Shortly after launching the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus in early September, Apple announced that it expects the new generation of iPhones to outsell their predecessors following the huge turnout of buyers during the presale window.
Last year, the Cupertino, California-headquarted iOS and Mac OS developer sold about 10 million iPhone 6 handsets during the product’s opening weekend.
