Evolution of smartphones will ‘Give you a Glimpse of the Future’
It is amazing how great a change has taken place over time in the world with the invention of smartphones. A world without a smartphone would seem to me so unorganized and uninteresting, as many of the recent developments that have taken place in the present world were facilitated either directly or indirectly by this great innovation. Back in the early 2000s, Nokia phones were in great use (not a smartphone though) and the pace at which these changes had occurred between then and now has been so great that hardly can anyone remember when we never really had them around.
It was just like yesterday when we had a world without an efficient and reliable communication system. The success in the making of smartphones was such a huge one as the world would be full of so many impossibilities without them. Moreover, the need for a better and effective information and communication dissemination increased as the need to browse the internet readily at any time grew. It is now very easy to call someone from a different location entirely and get to see the person through video call (what an impossibility!), but this was made possible by this great innovation. Have you ever thought of talking to a friend without being heard?, the possibilities of seeing yourself without the use of amirror, all these and many more are made possible by the use of different applications on the various smartphones we have available now. Of course one would not argue that things will get better with better brands of these phones. The first real smartphone was seen in the year 1993. It was when the IBM Simon was released, and it had minor apps and functions such as a fax, a pager and even a PDA. Nothing less than amazing can be said about the evolution since then.
However, the prices of these phones at their early stages were very high that only the rich could afford them. I can remember when the price of just one phone and the price of a big refrigerator were almost equivalent. Of course, one would think that the prices of these phones would increase as new and better brands were made. But the improvement in the qualities and flexibilities of these phones were accompanied by an improvement in their prices. Now these phones are seen almost everywhere with almost everybody. Apple released the iPhone almost 14 years after IBM released the first version of a smartphone. Wow! A whole lot of 14 years! I said that too. What a relief. IBM should be applauded. It so obvious that we seem to glorify Apple more and as such we tend not to notice the amazing works of technology in other brands.
The world has been such a conducive place to stay with smartphones in place, believe me. Various brands of these phones comes with their various amazing features that will keep you glued to the phone and wonder what the world would have been without the great invention.
