Exclusive: OnePlus Two will pack support for USB Type-C
Just a few minutes ago, we got an official confirmation that OnePlus’ upcoming flagship, the Two, will feature USB Type-C port. The information was received from the company’s Twitter handle.
USB Type-C is a specification for a reversible-plug connector for USB devices and USB cabling, note that. In other words, with this technology which going to take the world over by storm, you don’t have to worry about placing your USB cable upside down while plugging.
Back to the news, OnePlus Two will be launched in the third quarter of 2015, OnePlus executive Carl Pei told us earlier last month. The co-founder didn’t say anything about the phone’s specs but rumors are having it as follows:
- A screen “smaller” that OnePlus One’s 5.5-inch display
- 3GB of RAM
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset
- Nothing else
Carrying a $322 price tag (according to the same rumors), the OnePlus Two will be released around a time when the Apple iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will break cover. Do you see yourself going for the more “premium” priced flagships or will you save your bucks on the sequel to OnePlus’ “flagship slayer”?
