Oukitel K10000: A smartphone with 10,000mAh battery
A couple of weeks back, Oukitel’s unreleased 10,000mAh smartphone surfaced in pictures. After the device showed up with scanty details, I’ve always imagined how life with a smartphone with a humongous battery would look like. Will I be able to forget about the wall sockets for a week; or maybe two? The whole puzzle is set to be solved as the company behind this incredible piece of tech is about to get it launched.
According to information gathered today, the Oukitel K10000 is covered in metal (you can clearly see that from the new pictures). Details of the body’s dimensions aren’t yet available but for sure, this is one heck of a bulky handset — and that’s the sacrifice it has to make for a giant battery.
The K10000 has a 720p display which measures 5.5 inches diagonal. Under the hood, you’ll find a MediaTek MT6735 SoC with quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, a 2GB RAM, 16GB of in-built storage and a Mali-T760 graphics processor.
Running the software is Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. There’s support for 4G LTE and the smartphone is said to pack a 13MP/5MP rear/front-facing camera combo.
Oukitel says it will unleash the mobile phone soon. How soon is what we don’t know but hey, we know it’s going to be very interesting to make a review of the K10000.
