Gionee M5 could be packing dual battery
We saw the previous generations of Gionee’s Marathon series break cover with some wowing battery capacities. This is the main aim of the lineup — huge battery life. The Gionee Marathon M2 had a 4,200mAh unit while the 2014-released M3 came with 5,000mAh of juice.
On Monday, Gionee started teasing the next Marathon. A sketch picture of an upcoming Gionee M5 was posted on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo and from the render, you can deduce the phone will come along with dual batteries, something we’ve seen in some recent Chinese smartphones.
With the two battery units, Gionee says the M5 will give you five days of juice. We don’t know about the capacity and screen size of the phone yet but since the M3 already brings 3 days of average use to the table, so we reserve the right to believe it’s successor might as well be very much better.
