HTC Ocean Note leaks in new report, to launch without headphone jack
No hard feelings, Jack, but we think 2017 is the year when we finally start getting rid of you in parts, before the whole process kicks in. Several weeks ago, we leaked two devices that were in the make by HTC and one of them carried the HTC Ocean name. Thanks to a source from Taiwan, we have more info on this unit than we ever had in the past, combined. Called the HTC Ocean Note, the size of the screen is not confirmed yet but it has been placed somewhere between 5.5 inches and 5.7 inches.
From the renders of the device, there are no physical buttons on the front, and that is not the only thing that we have been left without. The headphone jack is also nowhere to be found.
Being the second time that HTC would lose the 3.5mm port, the first being on the HTC Evo/ HTC Bolt, we also expect the Ocean Note to have a curved screen like can be seen on the Galaxy S7 Edge. Another major seller for this unit is said to be the camera, although we don’t have much info abut that as at the time of writing this. To cap off the leaks, the report suggests that the Ocean Note would launch in three colour variants and possibly ship with a MediaTek chipset.
