HTC One A9 to be priced $798?
If you’re preparing to spoil yourself with a unit of HTC‘s “hero” smartphone before Christmas, you need to start saving up real quick or else you’ll be in for a colossal disappointment.
The HTC hero phone — or “HTC One A9” as its said to be known officially — will not retail as affordable as many people had envisaged. Albeit still not released nor officially unveiled, a retailer in the Netherlands has posted the device on sale but immediately took the sales page down. However, it was too late as many eyes had already preyed the smartphone’s price before the listing went down.
Here you go, the big announcement: The HTC One A9 will be priced 702 euros or $792 going by today’s exchange rates. The above is the price that was posted online by the Dutch retailer and we believe it (yes) especially when HTC CEO Cher Wang said the phone will help dig the company out of quarterly losses.
The HTC One A9 is expected to arrive in November. Popular tech leakstar Evan Blass noted that the device is coming with a 5-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset and a 2,150mAh battery.
Alleged snapshots of the upcoming smartphone suggest that the HTC flagship has taken a few design lessons from the Apple iPhone 6. HTC in turn alleged that the iPhone 6 stole the appearance of the company’s HTC One M8 last year.
