HTC One E9 appears online, packs a massive back camera
The HTC One E9 was discussed here only a couple of days ago. The unannounced smartphone is expected to be launched as HTC’s plastic flagship, that is, a plastic-clad variant of the HTC One M9.
Today, the device made a special appearance at TEENA. TEENA is the equivalent of FCC in China. The agency takes care of verifying and certifying electronics before they are approved to be sold in China.
Among the things noticed on the E9 is the absence of a second LED flash (like in the M9) and then a very large camera sensor. Due to the plastic advantage, the antenna lines were hidden beneath the cover unlike the aluminum-clad M9 where the antenna is clearly visible at the back. Also, the back of the phone looks like it will feature a removable cover.
Specs listed on the filing page shows the E9 measures 156.5 x 76.5 x 7.5mm, has a 5.5-inch QHD dislay, 3GB of RAM, MediaTek MT6795 chipset and a 20-megapixel camera. The unit is powered by a 2800mAh battery.
