Huawei to launch the Honor V9 in Europe as Honor 8 Pro
Huawei has been known by many to be notorious for the kind of naming sprees that they can go on sometimes, and for those that are familiar with the brand, you would know that they could release the same unit with as much as three different names for different regions.
That asides, Huawei has done the naming thing again, and they are doing it so that Europe can also get its hands on the Honor V9. However, we have taken the time to give you the intro because like ever, they have decided to launch it under another name – the Honor 8 Pro.
From the Chinese manufacturer, a number of media houses have started to get their invites to an event slated for the 5th of April and while they have not expressly stated that the Honor brand would be on show, we have heard before that the EU would soon get its hands on a Honor unit. Asides the confusion in the names, this unit is actually one that is worthy of looking forward to.
If you don’t consider the 5.7 inch QHD screen with a Kirin 960 chipset attached to it on top of 6GB RAM, then the 64GB / 128GB configuration plus dual 12MP camera setups on the back should impress you.
There is no info on pricing or availability just yet, so we might just do well to keep our fingers crossed.
