Huawei-made Google Nexus 6 outed in full details
Before the end of September, Google is expected to roll out two Nexus smartphones from LG Electronics and Huawei Technologies respectively. While the South Korean company will be making a 5″ device for the software giant, Huawei will be saddled with the responsibility of creating a bigger handset with near 6-inch screen size.
Huawei’s Nexus device is reportedly codenamed “Angler” and we just caught the device’s footprint at GFXBench after it was supposedly tested by someone at Google or Huawei.
The Huawei Angler/2015 Google Nexus 6 was listed as having a 5.7″ 1440p/Quad HD display. Even though the resolution is nowhere near that of Sony’s Xperia Z5 Premium which has 4K resolution and whopping PPI score of over 800 pixel density, the Nexus phone is still pretty much high end at 2K resolution and 515 PPI.
Other details spilled at the benchmarks page include the device having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and 3GB of RAM as well as 32GB of storage, a 12-megapixel camera and 8-megapixel front facer.
The phone will run on Google’s newly developed Android 6.0 Marshmallow on arrival and will become the first device to do so as the former is billed to be released on that same day of the phone’s arrival.
September 29 is the date to block on your calendar. It’s the day when Google will officially launch the trio of LG Google Nexus 5X, 2015 Huawei Nexus 6 and Android 6.0 operating system.
