Huawei was Google’s first choice to make the 2016 Pixels
After a lot of leaks and a lot of moments of being kept in the dark of what exactly it is we are expecting from Google this year, an event that has been scheduled to hold tomorrow would be when the wait becomes over officially and we would see the Pixel devices that are bound to take the baton from the last line of Nexus that, to be honest, did well in the market.
Before the launch of these smartphones that we would be seeing tomorrow which has been heavily leaked as both the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL, there has been some new information to suggest that HTC that happens to be the manufacturer of the device this time around were not even the first choice of the global software giant.
When we saw the make of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P last year, we were wowed by the latter which was made by Huawei and many praised it as one of the best, if not the best, Nexus design we have ever seen.
Bringing on board the fingerprint scanner in a seamless way of operating and setting the pace for other devices that would incorporate the scanner on a Marshmallow platform, it was little wonder that they were the first choice of Google for this year. However, for one reason or the other, it shifted and went to HTC. Whatever it was that caused this shift, we would surely have loved to see what Huawei would do.
