Information on Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 surface
Samsung’s recently-launched Galaxy Jx series is about to get a major boost with the anticipated introduction of two new members to the family.
Last time, we caught wind of a Samsung SM-J700F (Samsung Galaxy J7) which was shipped for R&D in India, and now, Samsung-dedicated tech blog, Sammobile, claims to have gotten exclusive gist on both the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5.
According to the website, the Samsung Galaxy J5 is sporting a 5-inch 720p display, 8GB ROM, 1.5GB of RAM and a 64-bit mid range Snapdragon 410 processor to keep the engine ticking. The phone reportedly has a thickness of 8.5mm and weighs 149 grams — that’s inclusive of the 2600mAh battery cell.
On the other hand, the larger Samsung Galaxy J7 will come with either 4GB or 8GB storage depending on configuration. The variation further expands to the processor where you get to choose either a 1.2 GHz or 1.5 GHz-clocked octa-core CPU with a Marvel PXA193 chipset. The phone weighs 170 grams and is 7.9mm thin.
Both smartphones feature 13-megapixel main shooters at the back while a 5-megapixpel selfie taker adorns the the front. In terms of OS, both devices are expected to boot out with Android 5.0 Lollipop at least.
