OnePlus 2 is still far away, OnePlus One prices get slashed
In a recent mash up of messages intended to be passed along by pictures, the media and people of the internet thought that OnePlus will be releasing their next smartphone tomorrow (June 1), but co-founder Carl Pei emphasized that the images had nothing to do with the OnePlus sequel.
The teaser which showed the OnePlus being erased away, with a pencil on standby, possibly to draw a new phone from scratch — was misunderstood. In fact Pei ascertained that the real motive behind the image was only that the One was getting a price slash: 64GB Sandstone Black model down to $298 and the 16GB Silk White version down to $248.
He also mentioned that the One successor will bear a numerical figure (i.e OnePlus 2) and that the smartphone is expected to be launched during the third quarter of the year.
