Oppo N3 and R5 will be launched in Malaysia, Singapore — regional CEO
Oppo’s upcoming N3 smartphone which has become a subject of media hype over the past few weeks, will be available in Malaysia when it finally breaks cover, so says the head of the Chinese coy in Malaysia, William Fang.
The chief executive made mention of another smartphone, the Oppo R5, which is seemingly the phone that was staying close to the N3 when the overall CEO of Oppo teased the latter, though this wasn’t confined by Feng.
“We are going to launch it (Oppo N3) in Singapore on Oct 29 and by end-December, we’ll be able to have N3 in Malaysia while for R5, I’m quite confident that by end-November, we’ll be able to have it in stock in Malaysia.”
He further spoke on how his company is pushing to add more sales in the Asian country. “Moving forward,” Feng said, “We want to move to non-traditional sales channels, add more shops and more importantly to establish 100 flagship stores probably by the end of next year”.
So far, Oppo has launched the Oppo R1L and Oppo N1 mini in the Malaysian market and both retail at the prices of RM 1,198 and RM1398 respectively. The Oppo N3 is expected to be officially unveiled by the 29th of this month.
