Oppo R7s coming with larger display
Not long ago, Oppo Electronics outed a weaker iteration of their now popular Oppo R7 smartphone called Oppo R7 Lite. The R7 was launched in the US and the UK as well as other countries but the newer and less expensive Oppo R7 Lite appears to be exclusively targeted at the Indonesian market.
Nonetheless, Oppo has produced yet another version of the lineup and this one they called the Oppo R7s. The R7s was recently approved at TEENA and we found out it measures larger at 151.8 x 75.4 x 6.7 mm, thanks to the increased 5.5-inch 1080p display which used to be a 5 incher on the regular R7.
The upcoming device was listed at TEENA’s website with an unnamed octa-core processor running at 1.5GHz which we suspected to be a Qaulcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset. This was clubbed with a 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM. The Oppo R7s will have a 13-megapixel rear shooter and 8-megapixel front-facing selfie unit.
Oppo R7s’ battery wasn’t mentioned in the document but at 200 grams, the body almost outweighs the 6-inch Oppo R7 Plus (203 grams) which has a 4,100mAh battery cell; this could mean an even heftier battery cell for the R7s if our imaginations are right.
As per TEENA listings, no information on the smartphone’s launch date or pricing were disclosed.
