Philips Sapphire S616 and Sapphire Life V787 unveiled with “SoftBlue” technology
Phillips have just tried their hands again at the concept of smartphone manufacturing by releasing to us two new devices which are said to sport an “anti-blue” display. Blue display is simply that which makes your eyes feel strained after operating your smartphone for a while and this is due to the amount of blue light generated by the back panel responsible for lighting. Phillips has said that they have made use of a technology called the SoftBlue to tackle this problem of Blue displays.
Introduced in China, the devices that reduce the blue display on your mobile up to a stunning 86% are the Phillips Sapphire S616 and Phillips Sapphire Life V787. Asides the anti-blue, what else does these devices pack?
The Philip Sapphire S616, for example, comes with a 5.5 inch screen which sports an awesome 1080 x 1920 resolution. A MediaTek processor powers the device on top of an octa-core CPU which is rated at 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage space and should this be insufficient, you have the option to expand to as much as 128GB. Powered by a 3000mAh battery is a back-to-front camera of 13MP and 5MP respectively. The device supports LTE and dual SIM technology and comes pre-installed with the Android Lollipop 5.1. To buy this device, your purse would feel the loss of about $222
Tajing eyes off the S616 for a while and going for the Life V787, although the pricing is yet to be released, the 5 inch of device is expected to launch this November. Having nearly same specs as the S616, we see a battery of 5000mAh on this one and an improvement to the rear 13MP camera on this one which comes with Phase Detection Auto Focus technology. This might sound as some big vocab to drain your cash till you know that it can allow your camera to focus in just 0.2 seconds.
