Pictures and specs of Samsung Galaxy J5 break out
As you can see, it’s only a matter of time before the next product from the Samsung Galaxy J lineup hits the scene officially. Pictures of a purported Samsung Galaxy J5 smartphone were splashed out today courtesy of our friends over there at Sammobile.
Though it’s currently raining metal phones at Samsung, the Galaxy J5, judging from the pictures, seems to have retained the plastic build from its ancestors. In fact, nothing seems to have changed from this and the 4.3″ Samsung Galaxy J1 which was released in January — except perhaps the screen size, reportedly scaled up to 5 inches in the J5.
Speaking of specs, the Samsung Galaxy J5 is expected to sport a HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution for the touchscreen and that works out to a 294 PPI. A listing at Chinese certification agency, TEENA, confirms the smartphone will pack an 8MP rear/5MP front camera combo, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage with a microSD card slot — all arranged inside a 7.9mm-thin body. The handset will run on a Samsung-customized edition of Google’s Android 5.0 operating system also known as Lollipop.
The latest leak didn’t mention anything about the phone’s release date neither did the older ones but we are counting on a June or July arrival following the rampant outing of the unreleased device recently.
