Samsung Galaxy A8(2016) finally comes to fruition, launches
If anything, we have been seeing the Samsung Galaxy A8 leak so much that the only escape that it had was to just come out in an official release so that the rumour mill could let go of it and now that it has been launched, it is finally free from the hassles of the rumour mill and we have the chance to confirm and debunk the things that we have heard.
For one, this latest introduction into the family of Samsung Galaxy A smartphones doesn’t follow the normal convention of odd numbers that Samsung seems to have fallen in love with and with this 2016 refresh of the previously existing smartphone, they have opted to go for the 5.7 inches of screen with 1080p resolution and an AMOLED panel.
Going underneath this is the pairing of 3GB of RAM to an internal storage space of 32GB and from the chipset and some elements of design, the device also takes after the Galaxy S6 from last year, making use of an Exynos 7420, the camera units on this one are set to be 16MP on the back and 8MP out front, all powered by a 3300mAh battery and run on the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 platform.
As regards the price, it has launched for KRW 649,000 in its home country which translated to about $580.
