Unannounced Samsung Galaxy J3 spotted in the benchmarks
Samsung Electronics, the South Korean OEM that manufactures Samsung Galaxy smartphones, is hands-dirty once again working on a brand new product for its mobile brand.
Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy J3, the unannounced device was spotted in mobile benchmarks website GFXBench where apparently someone at Samsung was testing the product. The GFXBench test revealed a lot of properties about the handset including detailed specifications and software platform info with the latter being described as Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 or Samsung SM-J3109 is listed to be carrying a 5″ HD touchscreen, 1.2GHZ quad-core CPU, Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 410 chipset (a 64-bit processor at that), 1GB of RAM and 8GB ROM.
For taking photographs, the J3 will use an 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus, touchfocus, face detection and a LED flash. Selfies will be served via the phone’s 5-megapixel front camera.
Details of the phone’s battery were not mentioned but the SIM card slot will be able to hold one card at a time. The handset will likely feature expandable storage while in terms of connectivity, an NFC antenna was confirmed to be on board while LTE is a sure bet considering the connectivity prowess of the 64 bit Snapdragon 410 chipset inside the engine.
Lastly, the release date of the Galaxy J3 is still unknown for now.
