Samsung Galaxy S6 bows to price slash in India
Barely few months after it was launched in India, Samsung’s current flagship, the Galaxy S6, has taken a price cut in the world’s second fastest smartphone market.
If you were buying a Samsung Galaxy S6 last earlier in June, the product would have set you back a cool 49,990 rupees ($785) but now, owing to factors such as decline sales, you can get the Samsung handset for under INR 40,000 ($628) on Flipkart and other e-commerce websites in the country.
A quick research shows the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is still rooted rock solid at INR 50,000 ($785) in most offline and online retail stores. On the other hand, Apple’s iPhone 6 (16GB model) costs an average of 43,000 ($675) while a 16GB iPhone 6 phablet weighs around 51,000 rupees ($801).
The LG G4 was recently launched in India costing 51,000 rupees ($804). The LG flagship is also expected to take a price dip in coming weeks.
