Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge units sells more than any other phone in 2016’s first half
Strategy Analytics have released a new body of data that shows that Samsung has taken over the mobile smartphone market and that this year, the South Korean OEM just continues to wax stronger and stronger.
Samsung has been dominating the markets for a while now and this year is no exception, with there being a record sales of the Galaxy S7 Edge device, billing it to be the most successful Android device in the market for the top half of 2016.
With a total of 13.3 million units of this model shipped in that time period, it contributed to an overall 5 percent increase in general Android sales from 552.2 million recorded last year to a new 577.3 million sales seen this year.
On the other hand, Apple doesn’t seem to be faring too well because their own shipments have fallen by 16 percent in the same time frame, pulling them from a figure of 108.7 million last year to 91.6 million for this year.
