Samsung’s upcoming hybrid Galaxy Tab S2 pictured
The next generation of Samsung’s high-end Galaxy Tab S lineup has been in the news in the past few weeks. We even heard the tablets will arrive in 8.0-inch and a 9.7-inch incarnations by June 2015.
Today, we laid our hands on the first pictures of the tablet 9.7″ slate, thanks to Twitter-based leakster @OnLeaks. From the pictures, you can deduce a sleek design and it looks like the tablet has a metal lining covering the four sides.
Also visible from the screenshot, the tablet runs a TouchWiz UI similar to that of the Galaxy S6 — just like last year’s Galaxy Tab S had software and hardware similarities with the Galaxy S5.
With June being less than 30 days away, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 is expected to land with a screen which has 2048 x 1536 pixels (identical to Apple iPad Air 2‘s “retina” resolution). The tablet will pack 3GB of RAM, an octa-core Exynos chipset, 8-megapixel/2-megapixel rear/front camera combination and Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
