Sony pushes out security updates to Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia C5 Ultra units
Samsung has been the one in the forefront of rolling out updates to their units in the course of the past few days and to join in the club is the Sony brand that we have already seen push some updates to some units of their device in the space of the past 24 hours.
Following up on that, they have now started to roll out another one to the users of the Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia C5 Ultra likewise. Before you start to get too excited about this being something that would affect the kind of Android platform that you are on, be rest assured that it does nothing of the sort and just brings with it some performance related features and as well, android security patches.
For the XA Ultra, the security patch for the month of October has been included in the entire package and as well, a fix for an issue that users have been having with the camera’s ISO settings which didn’t cause any manual change to take effect. For this device, those that run the single SIM and double SIM variants would get it as 36.0.A.2.109 and 36.0.B.2.109 respectively.
Looking the other way, the C5 Ultra just brings with its update the security patch to the month of July which considering that we are in October already and headed for November, is some light years of security behind some of its peers. For now, we have no information on whether there is another feature packed with its on package.
