Sony Xperia M5 priced $410
The duo of Sony Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra went official over the course of last week. While the larger Xperia C5 Ultra was identified as having a $425 pricing in Hong Kong, the Xperia M5 will cost roughly $410 in Taiwan. These pieces of information give us a clue on how the smartphones will be priced in the United States and other markets.
The Sony Xperia M5, listed on sale by Taiwanese retailer ePrice, carries a TWD$12,900 cost on the listing which equates to $408 USD using the current exchange rates.
For the records, the Xperia M5 comes with a beautiful water/dust-resistant 7.6 mm-thin body that usually appears in white throughout the official pictures — even though the device is also available in black as well as gold colors.
In terms of display, the handset sports a 5-inch 1080p IPS touchscreen. There’s a 21.5-megapixel rear camera for taking sharp pictures while an ample 13-megapixel primary camera lies in the front for taking care of your selfie needs.
Under the hood, you’ll find a MediaTek MT6795 System-on Chip (SoC) as well as a 2GHz octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
