TEENA uncovers unknown Asus Z00EDB
Chinese telecoms certification body, TEENA, has just posted details and visuals of an unreleased Asus smartphone on the agency’s website. The Asus Z00EDB could be the Asus Zenfone 2 successor (Zenfone 3) or just another Asus smartphone that was specifically made for China.
On the Asus Z00EDB’s spec sheet on the TEENA website, you’ll find a 5-inch 720p display. Two out of the three current Zenfone 2 models come with 5.5-inch displays so it’s highly unlikely Asus could be stepping back on their next mid range flagship.
Measuring 143.7×71.5×10.7 mm and tipping the scale at 145 grams, the new Asus smartphone runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop platform while being powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and 2GB of RAM. The device comes with an 8MP rear camera and 5MP front-facer while there was no mention of the battery capacity.
