Tizen-powered Samsung Z1 reach half million sales in India
Whether Galaxy S6 sales have tanked or not, Samsung has some other reasons to be happy for. The South Korean phone maker was excited last week to disclose to Business Korean that sales of the company’s Tizen-powered Z1 handset has crossed 500,000 copies in numbers, in India.
Earlier this month, the Samsung Z1 was reported to have captured over 20 percent of the smartphone market share in neighboring Bangladesh. It took Samsung only 10 days to sell 10,000 units of the product and less than 1 month to cross 100k units in the India and Bangladesh markets combined.
Samsung is reportedly working on a sequel to the Z1 which will come with a larger screen (the Z1 had a 4″ display) and might sport a qHD resolution, according to reports.
