Xiaomi Mi 4c spotted with LG G4 chipset, newer OS
By now, the name Xiaomi shouldn’t fall on your ears as just another Chinese brand. The company has, within the space of few years, attained global recognition, gaining a spot in the list of top 4 most popular smartphone vendors in the process.
Xiaomi’s Mi 4 has been selling well, per industry reports. Some time ago, the tech firm added another variant called the Mi 4i in the mix to make it juicier. Now, according to data extracted from TEENA, there’s another unreleased variant called Xiaomi Mi 4c coming to the scene in no distant time.
Scoring similar specs with the regular Mi 4i (5″ 1080p screen, 13MP/5MP rear/front camera, 2GB RAM et al), the Xiaomi Mi 4c was listed as having a 64-bit based Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, the same processor you’ll find on the LG G4 or the Motorola Moto X Style.
In addition to that, the smartphone will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, according to GeekBench. The TEENA listing also cites that the Mi 4c will pack a 3,100mAh battery but all other specs remain the same within the three variants.
It’s not clear where Xiaomi is heading with the many number of phone’s it’s producing lately. Only a fortnight ago, the OEM released Xiaomi Mi 2 Pro model in supplement to the already existing Mi 2 Prime and Mi 2 models in India.
