Xiaomi Mi Pad goes official with 7.9″ display and starts at $240
Xiaomi, the toast of China, has lifted the veil off it’s first-ever slate, the Mi Pad.
Whew! The tablet has a 7.9-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and it’s plastic casing comes in different color flavors that your truly can’t wait to hold one.
Xiaomi Mi Pad is powered by a a 2.2Ghz Nvidia Tegra K1 processor and you can choose either the 16GB (with 1GB of RAM) version or the 64GB version (2GB of RAM) with the later supporting up to 128GB of microSD extra space.
The tab packs an impressive 8MP camera at the back and a 5MP camera on the front.
Oh wait, don’t go yet. The 1GB RAM 16GB storage Mi 3 Pad will be available in June for 1499 yuan ($240) while the faster 64GB model will be sold for 1699 yuan ($273), in China.
Xiaomi is seriously expanding to many markets and it wouldn’t make much of a surprise we see the Mi 3 Pad in countries like India, Mexico, Russia, Malaysia and Brazil soon.
