Xiaomi set to launch Redmi 3 in India
Xiaomi has entered a partnership with FlipKart to better help the Asian manufacturer launch the Redmi 3s device in India. The phone would be coming in two different versions, one being the pure Redmi 3s and the other being the Redmi 3s Prime. You should at this point note that these devices are not related to the Redmi 3 Pro in any way even though the 3s Prime bears a lot of semblance to the international version of the 3s.
For one, the 3s Prime has a 3GB RAM CPU and an internal storage space of 32GB. On that, there is a fingerprint sensor behind the device which suggests the Marshmallow being in play here and under the hood, a Snapdragon 430 SoC. This variant is also the only one that exists in silver colour.
For the Indian Redmi 3s, there is no fingerprint scanner on its back and it only has 2GB of RAM coupled with an internal storage memory of 16GB. The chipset is still the same though and it’s not the rebranded version which has a snapdragon 616 instead. Additionally, it has a front camera of 5MP and a rear shooter if 13MP both powered by a 4100mAh battery and runs a dual SIM technology.
Regards pricing, Indians should be getting the Xiaomi 3S and 3s Prime for INR 7000 and INR 9000 respectively.
