Xolo announces second Windows smartphone, Xolo Win Q1000
Lava Mobiles, maker of Xolo brand of smartphones, has announced the company’s second smartphone running on Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system. Dubbed the Xolo Win Q1000, the new smartphone will hit the shelves early next month with a non-pricey cost of INR 8,499 (about $137).
The Xolo Win Q1000 comes with a dual SIM configuration, thanks to it’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset which comes with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 302 graphics. Featuring a 5-inch display with 720p resolution, the handset runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and judging from the Xolo’s profile in keeping devices up to date, will likely be upgraded when Windows 10 becomes available.
Other specs of the device include 8GB of expandable storage, 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel back-facing camera equipped with LED flash, 2-megapixel secondary camera at the front and a a 2200mAh battery to keep the lights on. The smartphone supports AGPS, Bluetooth, Wireless LAN and 3G connectivity while measuring 143 x 71.3 x 8.8 mm.
