10nm chipsets by Samsung are coming

Talk about challenging physics. Just a few weeks after Samsung’s breakthrough in technology by making the first 14nm chipsets in world history, the South Korean company has announced another breakthrough — making chipsets on a 10nm FinFET process.

The development was made known at Frisco’s ISSCC event today and Samsung promised the new tech will be available commercially by 2017, but that doesn’t stop the 14nm Exynos 7620 chipsets which went into mass production a couple of weeks ago, from starring in the Samsung Galaxy S6 due to break cover on March 1st.

When announcements like these are made, one ought to wonder the kind of brains the engineers at Samsung use and then it goes to explain why rival competitors like Apple keep tapping them.
