$136-priced Intex Aqua Power comes with 4000mAh of battery juice

As 2014 is grinding to an end, it’s nice to note there that a few devices released during the year arrived with quite unique features that actually improved the lives of users.

Asides the gigantic screens, massive processing power and beautiful OSes, there’s one thing users crave for in smartphones — longer battery life. This feature has been portrayed well by the likes of Gionee Marathon M3, THL 5000, Lenovo S860 and now, an Intex phone has joined the list.

The 8,444-rupee ($136) Intex Aqua Power comes with an adequate 4000mAh battery which is guaranteed to last a number of days on single charge, depending on the usage though.

Intex Aqua Power launched
Our subject comes with a 5-inch FWVGA (480 x 800 pixels) display, 1GB of RAM, a 1.4GHz octa-core CPU by MediaTek  and 8GB of expandable storage. Camera-wise, the Aqua Power ships with an 8MP main camera and a front-facing 2-megapixels camera. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat platform.

The company that made the phone, Intex, claimed that the Aqua Power will last 500 hours on standby and 11 hours on talk. However, we don’t expect the device to do as excellent as that but then the battery performance will surely be higher than your average smartphone considering the screen-to-battery ratio.

“At Intex, it is our effort to constantly understand and deliver on customer expectations and we fell that the Aqua Power with its extensive batter life and powerful octa-core processor will cater to our consumers’ needs in a far more effective manner,” Sanjay Kalirona, head of business unit at Intex commented.

With that being said; Are you going to buy the Intex Aqua Power (if given the chance)?
