After hearing about Samsung’s plan of updating its top of the line device “A” series this 2016, the company seems to be moving on to budget “J” family. As Galaxy J1 (2016) is already in the market in Dubai, the J5 and J7 are expected shortly.
The upcoming plans even more become proven as hard points information source leaked from kernel sources which unearthed our readers. The code was spotted recently at kernel sources for Galaxy A9 that talks about the upcoming device, codenamed as “j7xlte”.
Conveniently, code holds clues to its soon to be revealed phone’s specs. The 2016’s Galaxy J7 equipped with FullHD panel, 5.5-inch, and GFXBench. The J7 rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 650 SoC known as SD 618. There was no specific mention of memory, but expect 3GB of RAM. Main camera looks 13MP with Samsung S5K3L2XX sensor. Front shooter reported 5MP one Samsung S5K5E3YX sensor paired with 23mm f/2.2 lens.
Interestingly, there are few hints that Galaxy J7 will be added with fingerprint reader, which definitely be worth an upgrade considering the budget line. Lastly, rests of the specs include microSD card slot and 4,300 mAh battery.
