Chinese OEMs are mostly known for high specs to price ratio, a quality not usually common with western companies like Apple and the likes.
Such is the case of a phone codenamed the Meizu k52 which we discovered at GFXBench. According to the listing, our subject has a 4.6-inch 1080p display, a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 paired with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T7660 GPU. The device has 16GB of inbuilt storage and runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Unfortunately, the device’s camera properties weren’t displayed well in the listing.
According to rumors emanating from China, the Meizu k52 will break cover with a sub-1000 yuan price (about $163). However, there was no info on when the unannounced smartphone will be launched.
