Samsung has launched it’s latest midrange phablet in India today. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Max was recently released in Samsung’s home country, South Korea, at the equivalent of $290 but the device is reasonable cheaper in India as it’s being listed on Snapdeal for INR 17,286 which is roughly $278, using the current exchange rates. Samsung says the device will be sold exclusively on the e-commerce website for the time being.
Spec-wise, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max comes with a 5.25-inch 720 x 1280 pixels IPS touchscreen. The smartphone is powered by Google’s Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system and uses a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, an Adreno 306 GPU and 1.5GB of RAM. The device’s native memory is 16GB but can be further expanded using a microSD card.
The Galaxy Grand Max features a 13-megapixel camera and LED flash at the back while the front is adorned by a 5MP snapper for taking selfie photographs. The phone supports LTE, two SIM cards, FM Radio, GPS and has a 2500mAh Li-Ion battery to power the whole unit.
