6″ ZTE Grand XMAX coming to Cricket this Friday for $200
After releasing the 5.7″ ZMAX for T-Mobile, ZTE has gone ahead to launch another smartphone which will be exclusive on US carrier, Cricket.
Call it a phablet if you want, the ZTE Grand XMAX looks happy rocking a 6-inch touchscreen display with 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution. The phone boasts of a sleek architecture with it’s thinness of only 7.8 milimetres.
For photography, the Grand XMAX (sounds like “grand xmas”) employs an 8-megapixel shooter at the back as well as a 1MP selfie unit at the front. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with a few customizations and pre-loaded apps from Cricket.
Powering the device is a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 200 chipset from Qualcomm. The phone uses a storage of 8GB by default, but that can be expanded using the microSD card slot.
Pricing
The ZTE Grand XMAX will be available on 10th October 2014 (Friday) exclusively on Sprint for $199 (unlocked). There haven’t been any talks about the device selling elsewhere but when that happens, we’ll surely let you know.
