Android 8.0 Officially Launched, Update Push Begins

Google Pixel And Nexus Phones Will Reportedly Get Android 8.0 On August 21

Google has made good on its plans for a faster update roll out following the official release of the Android 8.0 Oreo OS.

The tech company has reportedly started rolling out the official OS to supported smartphones as fans and users have taken to their social media pages to attest to the update push hours after its official launch.

The devices getting the update push are however those which are part of the Android Beta program.

However, smartphones packing the latest Developer Preview build of the Android OS have also reported the update push to their devices.

It is important to note that reports have indicated that the updates are failing to install on the Pixel devices running on the Developer Preview 4.

Google is expected to rectify this problem as soon as possible or at least release a quick fix for the OS problem.
