Google was one of the first brands to push the Android 8.0 Oreo OS to its smartphones with the likes of HTC, Blackberry and Sony falling in line.
However, the tech company which is yet to release the sequel device, Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel XL 2 which are both expected to run on the Android 8.0 out of the box has pushed yet another update to the existing Google Pixel devices running on the latest OS.
The update for Pixel smartphones powered by the latest Android 8.0 Oreo OS however comes with several issues key among which is the label which comes with the update.
Several users have complained that the latest update comes bearing the Android Nougat 7.1.2 name and has thus spread fears especially for the Oreo OS users who panicked they might be getting a downgrade.
The appeared downgrade however upon a quick restart of the smartphones has been reported to have changed version to the September update of the Oreo OS.
