Android 8 ‘O’ Reportedly Not Oreo As Widely Speculated, To Launch August 24

Google Pixel And Nexus Phones Will Reportedly Get Android 8.0 On August 21

The much-expected Android 8.0 which had been dubbed Oreo for several months due to the official confirmation that the Android OS will come with a name starting from “O”, has been rumored to be a diversion all along.

As much as the tech world is agog with the recent report, it is still to be taken with a pinch of salt as the tech company, Google, is yet to confirm if the Android 8 OS is actually Oreo or not.

According to a fresh report which surfaced online, the tech company may be planning to name the upcoming and soon to be announced OS ‘Orellete’.

The recent report was mildly backed by the appearance of a Google teaser on G+.

With less than 24 hours to the official launch of the OS which is expected to coincide with the Solar Eclipse, Google is set to unveil the latest OS.
