Android M Rollout to Huawei Honor phones starts February 2016

A few days ago, Huawei Technologies announced a list of devices to get the Android 6 Marshmallow update but news as to when has been the concerns of fans but the good news is, the company has announced that the OS update will begin as from February, 2016.

Huawei India listed the Honor 4C, Honor 4X, Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7 smartphones to receive the impending software version update. The smartphone company is running a quite impressive schedule however in releasing software update to their devices considering how long it takes for manufacturers to roll out updates to their devices but the dateline set for the roll out might be a disappointment to fans and users who expected the software version earlier than the proposed date.

Huawei made the February rollout of their software update for Honor phones public via the company’s Honor India Twitter account which announced “Coming soon! Starting February 2016, we will be rolling out Android M to Honor phones.”

It is to be noted that Honor’s parent company, Huawei recently announced a list of smartphones including the Huawei Ascend P8, Ascend P8 max, Mate S, Mate 7, Ascend G7, Ascend G7 Plus and Ascend G8 will begin receiving updates in China staring November on its Weibo page.
