Thanks to Spice Mobiles of India, customers in Nepal, Indonesia and Sri Lanka can now afford an Android One smartphone as the phone maker launched its existing Spice Android One Dream Uno H handset in the three markets.
“We are delighted to expand our reach into international markets of Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Nepal with the revolutionary Android One smartphones. We are pleased with the customer response towards the Android One phone in India and are confident that the product will be equally successful in these markets as well, enabling us to strengthen our position in the international mobile market.” CEO Prashant Bindal said.
He promised down the line that the smartphone will receive Android 5.0 Lollipop updates in order to be up to date with even the world’s priciest Android flagships. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the device will be known as Nexian Journey One while keeping all the specs and software intact.
In terms of specs, the Android One Dream Uno H/Android One Dream Uno / Nexian Journey One sports a 4.5″ FWVGA touchscreen inside a sleek plastic body. The phone uses a 5MP/2MP rear/front camera combo and rocks a 13GHz quad-core MediaTek CPU and 1GB of RAM — all powered by a 1,700mAh battery.
