Coming weeks after the official launch of the latest Android 8.0 Oreo Operating System into the market, Google has finally pushed support for its Google Assistant to the Android TV.

The Google Assistant has expanded the number of supported platforms today as it is now distributed through Android, iOS, and the Google Home devices.

The Google Assistant is now available on the Android TV with the Nvidia Shield TV console being the first to play host to the latest integration. However, in the coming months, the list of supported devices is expected to broaden with the Sony Bravia TVs getting theirs too.

With the Google Assistant on Android TV, users will be treated to a wide variety of contents including movies, Music, TV shows, YouTube clips and much more. In addition, the Google Assistant supports HBO Now and Netflix for movies and TV shows which makes it easier for users to get access to their favorite contents online.

The Google Assistant also comes with a quick access to news, calendar appointments, and others to make users feel at home and well catered for.\
