Ahead of it’s official launch in India, the Apple iPhone 6 has been listed on Airtel India’s website as “Coming Soon”. The iPhone 6 is reportedly going to be released in the country on the 17th of this month.
According to the listing, the 16GB base model of the latest iPhone will be available, as well as the 64GB and 128GB storage versions. However, no pricing were set for the devices as of press time.
There was no mention of the bigger Apple iPhone 6 Plus on the Airtel website whatsoever. The 5.5″ phablet has been a victim of criticism after users complained it was permanently bending at the exertion of normal force.
The iPhone 6 has not officially gone on sale in India but some third-party retailers are already selling the smartphone as high as INR 56,000. A well known dealer is accepting 10,000 rupees as pre-order for the phone, with the remaining (unmentioned) price to be completed when the product arrives.
