In both 2012 and 2013, Apple created an initial order of 60 million to 70 million for the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. However, the new record shows that Apple is very confident in breaking the record of iPhone sales, especially now that iPhones just got bigger.

The Apple iPhone 6 is believed to have a 4.7-inch display, with another variant with a 5.5-inch display still sketchy. The phone is expected to break cover in September.
