Yeah, you heard that right. Apple, the iPhone maker who dissed Samsung last year for getting users to “bumping” each other just to share files over NFC is finally embracing the tech they one despised. The upcoming iPhone 6 is said to be packing the feature.
However, Apple isn’t going to use NFC for file sharing on the iPhone. A mobile payment function seems to be the key priority here even though it’s not yet clear if the Cupertino, Californian tech giant will swallow it’s pride and allow for transmitting of files through the iPhone 6’s NFC hub — just like Samsung Galaxy phones do.
A picture posted on Nowhereelse.fr website allegedly depicts the logic board if the Apple iPhone 6 and lays it head to head with that of it’s successor, the iPhone 5s. The site futher claims that there are components of NFC on the board.
The Apple iPhone 6 is still expected to come in September this year with a 4.7-inch display, fingerprint sensor and a host of other yet-to-be-known features which Apple will use to spice up the phone.
