At&T launches BlackBerry Passport and BlackBerry Classic

AT&T customers are in for a post-Valentine treat as their preferred carrier is offering the BlackBerry Classic and the redesigned BlackBerry Passport. Yes, you heard that right. The BB Passport was slightly redesigned with the US carrier in mind and you can see that from the picture below (left).

BB Passport and BB Classic
Back to the story. The BlackBerry Classic is going for $419.99 unlocked while a two-year agreement should set you back a nifty $49.99. The higher-end BlackBerry Passport is going for $199.99 on a two-year agreement while AT&T asks for $649.99 off contract.

There are other schemes to pay for these BB10 smartphones as the Classic can be bought on AT&T’s 20-month billing at $21 per month. You can also choose to pay $17.50 per month for 24 months, or $14 each month for 30. On the other hand, the Passport costs $32.50 for 20 months, $27.09 for 24 or $21.67 for 30 months. Each of these plans still sum to the same exact cost of their off-contract pricing. AT&T is currently accepting pre-orders but shipping starts on February 20.
