The Blackberry Priv came as the first Android device that the Blackberry would ever make and given the release date in early November (6th to be precise) and the fact that AT&T even had the device available in their stores from that day, it came as a surprise when Blackberry announced stall in the shipping of this device till later in the month – 23rd November. This has, as explained by Blackberry, been occasioned by a need to satisfy all who have pre-ordered and phase out their pre-orders.
Priced at $699, the Priv from Blackberry has generated enough buzz due to its Android make and the feature of a physical board even makes the device all the more appealing. What’s more? Ordinary Android smartphone would not be able to boast the amount of security that one would see on the Priv, making it a much esteemed device.
Blackberry has also made good on the design of this 5.4 inch device, its screen being protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 technology. There’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded well up to 2 tera-bytes. BB haven’t stopped here, employing the Snapdragon 808 chipset and an hexa-core 1.8GHz. Running on an Android 5.1 and with a promise to bump to Marshmallow next year, the BB Priv is worth the demand.
