Priv Smartphone is the first Android run device from BlackBerry, as it took some time before its official availability. Now you can have one with Verizon, it took over four months on its first debut in United States with a starting price tag of $30/ month lock for 24 months, making the device as one of the expensive handsets in Verizon.
As we know what BBM Priv costs as compared to other carriers, and how BlackBerry charges its contract, so the price tag with Verizon was not surprising either. However bit more expensive than iPhone 6s from Apple, Galaxy Note 5 from Samsung, Turbo 2 from Droid, even the latest Galaxy S7.
That won’t help MMB sell units, so expect prices come down before Priv reaches its ever first birthday. But if you cannot wait for it, you can have order from Verizon at $30 per month contract at $720 upfront.
BBM Priv runs Android Lollipop, but BBM promised a Marshmallow update is on its way during first quarter of 2016. The Blackberry Android software similar to Android, but has things like BlackBerry Hub and the DTEK security features that are built-in.
