In an interview, Chen said that an unannounced smartphone named BlackBerry Z20 has now being renamed to BlackBerry Classic and will stand up to succeed the (once) successful BlackBerry Bold series of which the Bold 9900 was the last Bold.

“There’s a new product called the BlackBerry Classic that’s coming out. It’s an updated and enhanced version of one of our most popular and successful products called the Bold. It will include a keyboard and a good touch-screen, very fast Internet, Web-browsing capability and multimedia capability. But also it will be very productive and very secure. So, all the familiar things that people love, with some new technology updated.” Chen said.

He noted that the BlackBerry Classic will be coming out in November this year.

Foxconn and BlackBerry are currently in partnership which will oversee the former producing phones for the former in China, subsiding the prices while maximizing the profit on BlackBerry phones.

It’s still not known if the BlackBerry Classic will be part of the pact. However, time will tell as we are pretty sure to get more info on the device before it’s November release.
